3.31.09: New 'State Of Play' Images

Listing Russell Crowe's new political thriller State of Play hits theaters on April 17, but before you go see the film, Universal wants to bombard you with everything you would ever want to know about it.

The Web site for the film, which you can go to here, has interactive character bios, trailers, a photo gallery and more. State of Play, which stars Crowe, Ben Affleck, Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright Penn, Jason Bateman, Jeff Daniels and Helen Mirren, is a blistering thriller about a rising congressman and an investigative journalist embroiled in an case of seemingly unrelated, brutal murders.

3.30.09: New 'Taking Woodstock' trailer

Taking woodstock Director Ang Lee brings one of the greatest events in rock & roll history to the big screen in the new film Taking Woodstock. Set in 1969 this story follows the life of a young interior designer who brings the historic concert event to his town after the organizers of the Woodstock Festival recently lost their permit. Taking Woodstock stars Demetri Martin, Eugene Levy, Imelda Staunton, Emile Hirsch, Liev Schreiber, Paul Dano, and hits theaters August 14.

  • Paramount has extended its deal with J.J. Abram's Bad Robot Prods. through 2013. The company's future films include the sci-fi blockbuster Star Trek and Morning Glory (Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams).

  • Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz might be teaming up again for the first time since 2001’s Vanilla Sky for James Mangold next rom-com.
  • With the Winter Olympics next year, the Oscars have been pushed back a week next year to March 7, 2010.

Wtwta listing Maurice Sendak's book Where the Wild Things Are is one of the most beloved children's story of all-time. And after seeing the first trailer for the film that hits theaters in October from director Spike Jonze, we are pretty excited to see the movie.
