Trailer Time! Night At The Museum 2, After Dark Horrorfest, Spooner, and Uwe Boll's Contra
• General Custer. Abraham Lincoln. Teddy Roosevelt. Al Capone. Amelia Earhart. "The Thinker." Ivan the Terrible. Octavius. Night at the Museum 2 looks like the original, 'cept with more stuff. I know this is not the general critical consensus, but the original was entertaining enough (on video, at least, which is how I saw it), and there are worse things a piece of popular entertainment can do than encourage kids to go to a museum. Do you suppose there's a sappy scene where Ben Stiller has to reveal to Amelia Earhart that she disappeared near the end of her around-the-world trip?
• The third After Dark Horrorfest, which combines 8 short horror films into one feature-length presentation, hits a small selection of theaters on January 9. You can check out an all purpose trailer at horrorfestonline.com, or watch individual trailers for most of the included films here.
• Scream co-killer Matthew Lillard goes all 30-something sensitive in the trailer for Spooner, set to premiere at 2009's Slamdance festival. Brick's femme fatale Nora Zehetner assumes the role of the quirky love interest.
• If you are an 80's videogame fan and/or love/hate Uwe Boll (considered by many to be the worst director alive) then you'll want to check out this well done, *fake* trailer for Uwe Boll's Contra.
