Gyllenhaal & Biel Back On Nailed
Following news that David O. Russell’s Nailed had ground to a halt last Friday over unpaid bills, prompting Jessica Biel, Jake Gyllenhaal and the other actors to down tools at the behest of the Screen Actors Guild, word comes that the film has resumed production. Speed Racer Drops Back To No. 3
Seems Warner Bros bullishly overestimated Speed Racer’s weekend haul by a few million. The actual figures show that the Wachowski brothers’ day-glo kid flick limped to $18.6 million, not the $20.2 million the studio originally reported. That drops Racer down to third place in the weekend charts behind top film Iron Man and new silver medallist What Happens In Vegas, which nabbed $20.2 million. Chalk Racer up as the summer’s first big bellyflop. More at Variety
