PREMIERE EXCLUSIVE: Mary Lynn Rajskub talks "24" Movie
CTU crankpot Chloe O'Brian, also known as actress Mary Lynn Rajskub, was in Park City for the Sundance Film Festival so, naturally, we had to grill her about the possible cinematic adventures of Jack Bauer.
Want to know what she said? You have ten seconds to continue on...
Regarding 24: the Movie (our title, not their's), Rajskub indicates that everyone seemed ready to go, except for the top brass:
"The 24 movie, you know I wish we would have made it last year," says Rajskub. "They had a draft of it and they were ready to go, but Fox, the larger corporation Fox, wanted to wait until the series was completely over before they make a movie. I was taunted by one of my producers, who wrote it [the script]. He's like 'I have the script!' but wouldn't let me read it."
So when does she think the series will be over?
"We signed for two more years [of the show] so with the strike, I guess that means two more years from now."
It was long-rumored that Fox wanted to wait until The Simpsons TV show was over before they released a movie, but that, obviously, turned out not to be the case. Maybe we'll see a 24 movie sooner than we think? Only time will tell.
We'll have more from Mary Lynn and the Sundance Film Festival all this week, so stick around.
