High School Musical and Hannah Montana's big screen debuts to be delayed, Pixar's Up with Don Quixote-inspired tale, and more

Strike delays High School Musical 3

Zac Efron’s contract dispute and Vanessa Hudgens’ nude picture scandal may not have derailed the eagerly anticipated High School Musical 3 from coming to the big screen, but the ongoing writers’ strike may. According to Disney watchdog Jim Hill Media, production on the senior year at East High flick has been delayed indefinitely because the script isn’t in shooting shape yet. And worse yet for the Mouse House, The Hannah Montana Movie doesn’t look likely to make its April production start, meaning Disney will have to somehow hope they won’t lose the two franchises’ legions of fans before they turn 15. Pixar is Up and away with a Don Quixote storyline

Speaking of Disney, their partners at Pixar have had a few information leaks about the plot to their upcoming film Up, which is said to be a Don Quixote-esque story of an old man who finds a Sancho Panza in a wilderness ranger. The film is being helmed by Monsters Inc. director Pete Docter. More at the Upcoming Pixar Blog.

Hess joins a league of extraordinary Gentlemen

Jared Hess, the director of Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre, will next turn his attention to Gentlemen Broncos, a Fox Searchlight comedy about a young fantasy writer who finds out that the idea for his epic novel has been stolen by an established author. Hess wrote the script with his wife Jerusha and filming is said to start in March. More at JoBlo.

i think that Vanessa should come back to Highschool Musical 3 because zac efron is going to miss her and probley Ashely as Sharpay might take him away again because she is jelous because he is cool in the movie and she is too so vanessa anne hudgens should come back and ashely tisdale should leave and ashley leave zac efron alone he is not yours and never will be he is always going to be Vanessa anne hudgens ok bye.

i think that vennesa should come back to high School musical because if she did'nt and they made one with out her and replaced her it would not be the same and not a lot of people will watch it. it dos'nt have anything to do with any one else what she does out of the set so we want her back!!!!!!!!!
